Where to start!
It's never too young to start soccer! The aim of our First Kick Program is to provide a fun and controlled environment that allows young children, both boys and girls, the freedom to express different movements, while challenging them to have greater control of their own bodies, by performing basic fundamental movement skills.
Research shows that early brain growth is extremely rapid, and physical literacy learning creates more brain cell functions, which enhances the development of brain capacity, as well as having significant impact on their physical development in the future.
This program is delivered by our professional soccer trainers and although the activities will relate to the game it is the use of the sport that is meant to develop fundamental movement and physical skills. The development of physical literacies and basic motor skills allows children to have more control of their own bodies which in turn allows them to develop soccer specific skills quicker in the future. This will enhance the speed of the learning process, as they hopefully continue to move through the CSA Wayne pathway, towards soccer development.
The program uses fun based soccer training activities that focus on developing a range of fundamental skills. Specific focus is given to:
- Agility, balance and coordination
- Physical awareness
- Movement patterns and sequences
- Spatial awareness
- Social skills
- Listening skills
Session format
- Each session has been designed around fun based games that promote the programs core values.
- The curriculum has been created by professional child development experts that have extensive experience in designing child centered training programs.
- Each class is delivered by highly enthusiastic and experienced youth soccer coach.
