CSA Wayne's DEVELOPMENTAL ROOTS program is designed for players who are not quite ready to make the large commitment to travel soccer. But want to continue their development. New to Fall 2024, we are providing this options for a number of players who have expressed interest in this model, due to their children being young, and already crazy schedules to add in travel soccer schedules. 

Combining a focus on individual technical development within our practice sessions during the week, and then providing the opportunity to learn the habits and movements relating to the game through 3v3/4v4 play, with the occasional 5v5 game (age appropriate field size) provides a fantastic foundation which will help enhance the future development.

DEVELOPMENTAL ROOTS is designed for young players that may not be ready to commit to travel soccer for whatever the reason, The program will add to the foundation that they already have with a focus on ball skills, small sided games, and most importantly, FUN! 

Here's what to expect:

• The focus is on individual player development, and the team(s) are NOT entered into a local league.
• Players participate for 8 weeks, with one 45 minute practice sessions per week.
• Players will compete in mini-tournaments on Sunday mornings, with one 60 minute games format 3v3/4v4 sessions per week.
• Winter 2: Practices run January and March.
• Winter 2: Games run January and March. 
• .There are no Practice/Games on 1/18 (MLK weekend) and 2/15 (President weekend)
• All DEVELOPMENTAL ROOTS programs are led by dedicated, professional trainers/coaches from CSA Wayne.
• All DEVELOPMENTAL ROOTS aim to be assisted by our leadership program participants/ volunteers to enhance the overall learning experience of the players.
• This entire program is based in Wayne NJ, at one of our indoor locations, there is no traveling involved. 
• All details, including game format will be finalized prior to week 1, once the number of participants is established)
• The cost of the program is $195 per player.
• There is a one-time uniform fee: $50 (if required)
• There is an annual NJYS Insurance Registration: $9.27 (if required)

DEVELOPMENTAL ROOTS : U9/ U10 (Kids Born 2016 + 2017)

Boys Practice: Tuesday's: 7.30pm to 8.15pm
Dates: 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3.

Boys Games: Sunday's between 11am and 12pm.
Dates: 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15.

Boys Maximum Capacity - 12 Registrations per class.

Jerseys $50
Please note: There will be a one time $50 jersey fee, which will provide you with the green and white, jersey’s, shorts and socks. These will be reusable each season, Fall, Winter and Spring for all ROOTS programs.

NOTE All players must accept the NJYS (New Jersey Youth Soccer) insurance registration to participate in our programs ($9.27 annually)
