CSA Wayne's MINI ROOTS program is designed to introduce young players to new skills and build the foundation of their future soccer careers, whilst growing their love of the sport: with an emphasis on FUN and incorporating the ball, this program offers basic training and small sided games for kids who enjoy the game, learning fundamentals, and playing in small sided games.

CSA Wayne recognizes the importance of teaching basic skill development and ball familiarity at a young age, and our curriculum has a proven history with many players graduating from our ROOTS programs, and going on to play at the highest level of soccer in NJ.

Combining a focus on individual development within our practice sessions during the week, and then providing the opportunity to learn the habits and movements learned in game format 3v3/4v4, provides a fantastic foundation which will help enhance any future development.

MINI ROOTS is for all young players no matter of ability (must be age appropriate) as at this age, no one knows who will be a future soccer star. 

Here's what to expect:

• The focus is on individual player development, and the team(s) are NOT entered into a local league.
• Players participate for 8 weeks, with one 60 minute practice sessions per week.
• Players will compete in mini-games on Saturdays morning, with one 60 minute games format 3v3/4v4 sessions per week.
• Fall: Practices begin September and run through mid November (Finish before Thanksgiving). 
• Fall: Games begin September and run through Mid November. 
• There are no Practice/Games Columbus weekend from Oct 12th -14th.
• All MINI ROOTS programs are led by dedicated, professional trainers/coaches from CSA Wayne.
• All MINI ROOTS aim to be assisted by our leadership program participants/ volunteers to enhance the overall learning experience of the players.
• This entire program is based in Wayne NJ, at one of our turf or grass fields, there is no traveling involved. 
• All details, including game format will be finalized prior to week 1, once the number of participants is established.
• The cost of the program is $170 per player.
• There is a one-time uniform fee: $50 (if required)
• There is an annual NJYS Insurance Registration: $9.27 (if required)

MINI ROOTS : U5/ U6 (Kids Born 2019 + 2020)

Boys Practice: Monday's 5pm to 6pm, or 6pm to 7pm
Dates: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4.

Boys Games: Saturday's 9am to 10am
Dates: 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9.

Boys Maximum Capacity - 24 Registrations per gender.

Girls Practice: Fridays's 5.15pm to 6.15pm
Dates: 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8.
Girls Games: Saturday's 12pm to 1pm
Dates: 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9.

Girls Maximum Capacity - 12 Registrations per gender.

Jerseys $50
 Please note: There will be a one time $50 jersey fee, which will provide you with the green and white, jersey’s, shorts and socks. These will be reusable each season, Fall, Winter and Spring for all ROOTS programs.
