Soccer is a wonderful sport and a passionate game. We should always remember our attitude is contagious. The referees, the players, the coaches and the fans should come together. The other team is our opponent not our enemy and thus should be treated with respect. While winning is important, I/we recognize that playing well and fair is the essence of the game. We as parents will set a good example to our child in his/her soccer development by adhering at all times to the following: 

• As parents, we will not criticize the referee openly or directly before, during or after games.
• I will act as a role model by demonstrating a positive attitude towards all players, coaches, and game officials – regardless of race, creed, color, gender, religion, or ability. 
• We understand that improper behavior at a game, practice or other Wayne Soccer Club event may result in a parent being asked to leave the field or the event by a referee, WSC liaison or Board Member.
• As a parent I will monitor my child’s eating and sleeping habits to ensure that my child is eating the correct foods and that my child is in bed at a reasonable hour on the night before a game and early enough on other nights to ensure that adequate rest is being taken.
• As a parent I will ensure my child does the best he or she can at school. Education should come first
• As a parent, I will ensure my child arrives at practices and games on time and prepared. I understand arriving late is disrespectfully to the team & coaches. 
• As a parent, I will ensure that my child is prepared for practices and games. If my child cannot make it to practice or a game, it is my responsibility to notify my coach.
• Leave the coaching to the coach during game. We shall do our best not to give our child instructions during the match.
• We agree to do our best and follow these rules and to have as much fun watching the game as the players should have playing the game.
• If a negative incident occurs and as a parent I want to contact a member of the WSC board or coach, I will wait 24 hours after the incident occurs to speak to a WSC representative
